This solution was installed at our customer's location by Power Torque. As the pictures show, this blower drive was originally powered by a Linkbelt silent chain drive and after years of use, the chain needed to be replaced but the cost of the replacement was much more money than our customer wanted to spend. In addition, the old chain drive needed periodic lubrication, and this blower was located on a cat walk about 15 feet above the floor, which made it very difficult to service. Our customer called Power Torque for a recommendation.

One of Power Torque's engineers designed a replacement V-belt drive to operate in place of the old chain drive, and also allowed for extra service factor to power the 6 foot diameter blower, so that our customer could expect years of trouble free service. The total package cost including installation was much less than just the cost of the replacement chain, so our customer ordered the solution, Power Torque removed the old drive and installed the new V-belt drive, and our customer is now benefiting from a quieter, more efficient drive that requires very little maintenance.
